Minua pyydettiin ottamaan kuvia työpaikalle tulevaan kirjaan, jossa kerrotaan mitä he tekevät, millä arvoilla he toimivat ja kenen kanssa he työskentelevät. Päädyin potretteihin osasta asiakkaistamme. Ja voi että minulla ja kuvattavilla oli hauskaa! Kuvia ei ole lavastettu mitenkään, ne on otettu työpäivien ohessa. Halusin näyttää maailmalle, että me olemme kaikki kauniita, erityisiä ja arvokkaita. Ja että jokaisella on oikeus hyvään elämään. Pidän työstäni todella paljon, mutta erityisesti arvostan nykyisen työpaikkani tapaa kunnioittaa asiakkaiden itsemääräämisoikeutta sekä oikeutta harrastuksiin ja mahdollisimman itsenäiseen ja täyteen elämään. Me tukihenkilöt emme ole hoitajia, olemme ystäviä. Tässä on vain osa kuvista, joitakin on vilahtanut blogissa jo aiemmin.

I was asked to take photos for my workplaces coffeetable book, which is all about what they do and why and the values that guide their work. With the values in mind I decided to take portraits of some of our clients. I wanted to show that we are all beautiful and special and lovable. And that we all have a right to live a life as good as possible. I love my job, and I admire the way the non-profit company respects their clients, their right to make decisions, to have hobbies and try new things and most of all to life their life to the fullest. As a support workers we are not carers, we are friends to our clients. All the pictures are taken during normal work days, no settings made, nothing added, nothing taken away. Just people being beautiful people.
